Dragon Komodo

Dragon Komodo know as Varanus Komodoensis in scientific way. Was a famous reptile that still exist but, is in Red List of UICN.

It is the largest lizard in the world, with an average length of two to three meters and a weight of about 70 kg.

Their exceptional size and reputation as a fearsome animal makes them one of the most popular animals in zoos.

The Komodos are predators that hunt their prays in different ways to execute this mission because of his skin, and the way they move is one of the most dangerous reptiles.






This specie came is founded in Indonesia but, for diferent reasons, this reptile now lives in the Komodo National Park. This park is located in the Lesser Sunda Islands, on the border between the provinces of West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara, east of Sumbawa and west of the Island of Flores in the Indonesian archipelago. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1991.
